Pancakes remain thin, broad and immediately accessible yet lack internal depth. Modern civilization increasingly rewards breadth over depth, speed over reflection and accessibility over permanence. The danger is not technological progress itself but forgetting that technologies always reshape the minds using them. Every cognitive function delegated to machines gradually weakens within human beings unless consciously cultivated. The future of intelligence therefore depends upon preserving practices of sustained memory, concentrated attention and independent judgment despite increasingly sophisticated systems offering to perform these activities automatically.
## **Conclusion: There Is No Problem of Natural Stupidity**
Human beings are not naturally becoming more stupid. The brain remains biologically capable of extraordinary intellectual achievement. What changes are the environments within which intelligence develops. Every communication technology reorganises consciousness by strengthening certain capacities while weakening others. Writing diminished memory while expanding historical continuity. Printing strengthened linear reasoning while multiplying information. Memory cannot simply be downloaded because remembering constructs identity. Thinking cannot simply be outsourced because meaningful connections constitute personality itself. Culture cannot survive solely inside machines because living traditions require living minds. Intelligence remains a cultural practice before it becomes a biological capacity.
